24 Monarch, Robinsons Bay
Under construction.
This home is a testimony to tenacity, and keeping focussed on the final result.
The site is tricky ... steep with difficult access. Zoning issues. Easements. But the view stunning, and worth the struggle.
The home is designed to partially float over the landscape, while being securely anchored in parts. This gives access into the environment, while also overlooking it.
Construction is in light timber framing and structural steel, with expansive glazing. Shelter is well considered as the house is very exposed, and clerestory windows are positioned to channel light through the house as soon as it appears in the morning.
