This home is a Superhome. Our clients requested a high performance, low maintenance home for their site in the hills of Christchurch, and thats what they've built.
The construction is predominantly Formance SIPs (structural insulated panels), which provides heavily insulated wall and roof panels. We've then clad the home in larch with a charred shou sugi ban finish, giving a low maintenance black finish to the exterior.
Expansive glazing to the cantilevered living pavilion overlooks the valley and surrounding hills to the entrance of the Christchurch Adventure Park.
