Four bedroom home on the steep slopes of Moncks Spur, fronting onto a reserve, and with views over the ocean and city.
The site had very difficult access, and had been used as a dumping ground for the cut from the subdivision - this created challenges for the design and construction. These we overcome, and allowed the house to survive intact while under construction during the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake.
The home is split over two levels, with living areas, master bedroom, and garaging on the top level. The front of the home is wrapped in expansive balcony space, allowing the upper level living areas plenty of outdoor living space. Floor to ceiling glazing focusses on the views, and allows the sunshine to fill the home.
